Rachael joined the Center in September 2011 as an American University Fellow. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree in journalism at American University. A graduate of Reed College in Portland, Ore., Rachael majored in political science with a focus on international relations. Before joining the center, she interned for the Portland Mercury, an alternative newsweekly, and freelanced for several local newspapers and magazines in Laguna Beach, Calif. and Portland, Ore.
