Profile:
The 9-9-9 PAC has not spent any money since early December when its candidate of choice, Herman Cain, suspended his campaign. The front page of the organization’s website, now riddled with dead links, features a clip of Republican hopeful Newt Gingrich at a January debate. The 9-9-9 Fund’s outlays for mailings, phone calls and airtime fell short in Iowa, where Cain brought up the rear. The most recent donation came in on December 6, 2011.
Small donations largely fueled the fund, according to its year-end FEC report. The group reported $617,620 in total contributions last year, with more than $490,000 of that total coming in the form of gifts less than $200. On it's most recent filings, the group reported $162,013 in debt.
In February, the group transfered $100,000 to the Cain Connection super PAC, which was formed by Herman Cain two weeks after he ended his campaign.

Advertisements:
- An October ad made ill-timed jabs at Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, both candidates for the 2008 Republican nomination. It also called candidate Romney “the father of Obamacare” while playing up Cain’s D.C.-outsider status.
